Little Red Riding Hood

Oh 'deery' me ...

It's been a trying week with head colds and sick kiddies ... nonetheless there was sewing to do!

So I set to it on Sunday (with hubby keeping kiddies busy in the garden - runny noses to-boot!)

I used this fabric for lining ....

this Ikea fleece blanket (bargain purchase $4.95) ...

This pattern: The Maisie Cape from My Childhood Treasures

I also tried a new paper weight ... (very unreliable and therefore not recommended)

To make this Little Red Riding hood Cape for my 3 year old's up-and-coming Book Week - dress ups are so much fun!

What big eye's you have ....

My fairy godmother must have been watching over me this past week because I was able to whip up this little beauty in one short afternoon ... with no unpicking backwards sewing!

What big teeth you have ....

Think I might have to whip one up (such a confident soul aren't I?) for Miss almost two as well and that should be Halloween sorted!

I once saw a Wolf thiiiiiiiiis big!

Right we're off to Grandma's now ...

Sx
