  5. Looking good Serena. I"m interested in this Farmer's Wife quilt, but I'm going to follow your progress for about 12 months before I decide whether I need to embark on one or not. I think with such a big undertaking you've got to be in love with it, and I'm not quite there yet. Maybe it's because I'm not sure what types of fabrics I'd use. I'll have to go back and read about your earlier blocks and the decisions you've made. Always useful to take on board other people's research and thoughts.

  6. I always enjoy seeing fabric combos in your FW blocks. I think you're making great progress, especially seeing you're sewing them by hand.

  8. Your blocks are so pretty! I love the idea of sewing them by hand! I'm almost finished my hexie quilt top and wondering what I should take on next for hand stitching. I don't think I want another epp project right away, but something just hand pieced would be lovely. Probably not farmer's wife for me, though. That seems a little too big an undertaking right now!

  9. Top one is my pick of this lot, although I very much fancy the orange cross-hatch fabric.

  12. I like your farmer's wife progress chart. And I agree: winter should look like that. Did you really hand-stitch each seam?
