This looks like fun to make, I love the colors you picked, it's going to be beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteNice cat too.:)
Oh, these are just wonderful, Serena! Incredible piecing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous - love your fabrics! You make it look so easy and relaxing!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would ever be capable of such project. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLooking good Serena. I"m interested in this Farmer's Wife quilt, but I'm going to follow your progress for about 12 months before I decide whether I need to embark on one or not. I think with such a big undertaking you've got to be in love with it, and I'm not quite there yet. Maybe it's because I'm not sure what types of fabrics I'd use. I'll have to go back and read about your earlier blocks and the decisions you've made. Always useful to take on board other people's research and thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing fabric combos in your FW blocks. I think you're making great progress, especially seeing you're sewing them by hand.
ReplyDeletebeautiful blocks and winter iis the perfect time for hand piecing! they are inspiring and make me want to pull out my book and make some too!!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are so pretty! I love the idea of sewing them by hand! I'm almost finished my hexie quilt top and wondering what I should take on next for hand stitching. I don't think I want another epp project right away, but something just hand pieced would be lovely. Probably not farmer's wife for me, though. That seems a little too big an undertaking right now!
ReplyDeleteNice work :)
ReplyDeleteTop one is my pick of this lot, although I very much fancy the orange cross-hatch fabric.
ReplyDeleteLove 'em!
ReplyDeleteLook like Master Monty wants to make his own Farmer's Wife too !
ReplyDeleteA great way to be spending Winter days! Blocks are lovely.
ReplyDeleteHand pieced and oh so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI like your farmer's wife progress chart. And I agree: winter should look like that. Did you really hand-stitch each seam?
ReplyDeleteSuch amazing work! I have no idea how you do it, i would have given up for sure by now!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be such a wonderful heirloom for your family!
