... no wonder so many of you prefer machine binding!

I love the fussy cutting in your FW blocks! Hand binding looks so much better, just keep on sewing and you'll eventually get back to where you started.
ReplyDeleteLove your FW blocks! How are you liking the hand piecing? Do you think you will continue with that after your in laws leave? Hope you are enjoying the visit!!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe they are all hand-sewn, I avoid hand sewing where-ever possible, sometimes even to the extent that it takes me longer to machine sew things. I have yet to hand bind a quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove your Farmers Daughter and the binding :)
ReplyDeleteFresh color combo but whoa there is a lot to make :-) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteOH you have so much work cut out for you on both projects...but fun to see! :)
ReplyDeleteYour farmer's wife blocks look great
ReplyDeletelove the pink and orange!! and love your picture layout to keep track of your progress
ReplyDeleteI love the Farmer's daughter block and I love how you are tracking what you have done. This is my first time at your blog, will you be making a quilt, or three? lol or are you just doing the blocks for the sake of it for now? Great progress!

Absolutely lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right, it is hard to take pictures straight.
Love the blocks so far. The Farmers Wife is such a quilting commitment but always such an amazing quilt when finished.
ReplyDeleteTHe fussy cutting is brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely! I've long admired the Farmer's Wife and Dear Jane quilts - might need to start thinking about one... So many possibilities. I love the way you're recording which ones you've done - it's like a sneak peak at how the end quilt will look. Love the bright colours too! Can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteI do like your FW blocks.
ReplyDeleteI love the pink and yellow block! I alas will never be a Farmers Wife I have no stamina but Inlove looking at everyone else's!
ReplyDeleteWow you are dedicated. I just finished handsewing 4 lengths of fabric - the thoughts of a whole quilt - yikes! I love the colours in your FW blocks. It's looking warm and cosy already!
